Seems it's an issue with texture shuffling, it's hitting the assert `ASSERT(!m_texture_shuffle || (context->CLAMP.WMS < 3 && context->CLAMP.WMT < 3));` Here's how it looks without texture shuffling.

Mipmapping issues should be resolved now.
@KondeU Can this be re tested on latest Nightly, if the issue persists can you take a blockdump using 1.6 from starting the game till after pressing the start on...
I was thinking the same thing.
The window issue might be a half screen issue since if you switch between renderers it blinks black for a moment, and it lines up where the window is broken.
I'd say just remove the toggle option.
GS dump would be nice, possibly multiframe here.
Only half of the effect is rendered, and since it's half we have a crc fix that skips the effect.
@sedecman Status on the dump?
Unrelated but maybe you could also replace the deprecated texture barrier with the new function that you mentioned.
