Noting here, [Nymashock](https://github.com/TASEmulators/BizHawk/commit/d6b33fbec6ba2ad8f3e26f4ec36be21b1af92b11) leaves upstream's BIOS checks enabled by default and so would do the error thing by default.

Both Dolphin and Citra have software renderers anyways. They would probably be faster than Mesa based rendering (assuming said renderers are optimized, which Dolphin definitely isn't anyways) Ruffle (as mentioned)...

This can only work for cores that actually have midframe pausing in the first place. Which currently very little cores actually give this. Also Game Boy can give this behavior...
