Yeah, quick edge wear will be nice, but I think I'll implement this as a custom asset instead of directly in the ucupaint codebase. So #90 should be implemented first.
I'm not sure if that's possible with the current Blender Python API. Maybe you should do manual save more often in the meantime.

are you using ssd? do your blender always freeze if you do something with ucupaint?
