I was checking out the differences between your model and that of Sinbad.blend to try to understand what is the issue. The Sinbad.blend model has all the bones in both...

But in a way we *are* applying this "mega rotation" when exporting the scene by doing the position swapping.

Hello @paroj, I'll attempt a second try at explaining my position: ## Blender ![blender-orient](https://github.com/OGRECave/blender2ogre/assets/5248597/7cc20c76-d584-4965-9d30-a02dfaf3e295) ## OGRE ![screenshot_blender2ogre_20240422_224822499](https://github.com/OGRECave/blender2ogre/assets/5248597/86376ec9-825d-4b93-92ef-fc6e5c57b65c) As you can see every rotation and position is respected and in OGRE...

You say that the problem is when someone is putting meshes or other things as children of lights? I don't know why you would put a mesh as a child...

If I export without axis swapping option: 'xyz' (that is, Blender coordinates) And then rotate everything in ogre-meshviewer: ``` if self.filename.lower().endswith(".scene"): self.attach_node = scn_mgr.getRootSceneNode().createChildSceneNode() self.attach_node.pitch(Ogre.Degree(-90)); ``` I get this: ![screenshot_swaptest_20240424_122419174](https://github.com/OGRECave/blender2ogre/assets/5248597/91de6bd5-1104-4ab3-8806-4abbad9454c2)...

OpenGL 3+, you'll see that my latest screenshots were partially showing the UI. Also, this double `renderOneFrame()` is present here: https://github.com/OGRECave/ogre-meshviewer/blob/449c1ccf1c0d8563e19073a0a84aeb1b8b7fd7dc/ogre_mesh_viewer.py#L739-L740

> imgui does not seem to lag. please try again, whether latest master fixes the issue OK, it'll take me a while because I never built OGRE with python support....
