Does your dump have a managed registry by any chance? There is a bug involving those that was reported recently.
There is a field in the dump called `ManagedReferencesRegistry` or something like that. If you don't see that, then something else is the issue.
First, make sure you're on nightly. Then double check if reimporting the original works. If it does, you may have made a mistake during the edit and broke the format...

Those are masks, you can select them and hide them by unchecking the checkbox to the left of the gameobject name textbox in the inspector.
Well they _are_ masks in level100 which you can hide. There's a few in your lebel94 screenshots as well. The masks are part of the map, that's not a bug...
Are you on Hollow Knight 1.5? This doesn't work anymore on 1.5.
Only 1.4, 1.5 can run if you replace the cldb.dat but I'm pretty sure due to the way unity sprites are packed now, they won't show in the editor.
We're testing 1.5 support, still pretty early and it spits out errors in the editor but it's there at least.
