Had a quick look with InfiniEmu, the buttons seem darker compared to other bgAlt buttons. Could the shade of grey be made the same?
Can you bisect? If not, which build are you comparing to? Edit: also, any particular transitions that feel worse (start screen, end screen, direction)? If it's to a watchface do...

When the firmware is running you can see the short ref in the settings/about screen
