Yes, one particular case the excerpt included lots of weird formatting, including JavaScript etc.

Agreed that this is a good opportunity to rehash version control if/where appropriate. And if not, a 2 line change to a file is probably straightforward enough to not warrant...

I wouldn't mention VCS in the text. The instructors can do that orally if appropriate.

That does indeed make a lot of sense, thanks for the explanation! The joys of lexicographic comparison. And of course you can't have `valueOf` return a numeric value as that...
