I believe a lot of this hinged on tsc api support for the build flag, which is now in as of typescript 3.6 (see https://devblogs.microsoft.com/typescript/announcing-typescript-3-6/#apis-to-support-build-and-incremental)

This is definitely still an issue, https://i.imgur.com/tJwLY99.mp4 Doesn't appear to be related to timeline zooming and apparently happens after around 20 min of mapping

I think this is a solid idea, getting the tedious ground work in first would make mapping so much more pleasurable.
