We do plan to add this in a later release. EDS is being deprecated but Thunderbird is building a replacement.
@edfloreshz in Settings > VPN, choose Settings for your VPN from the hot dog menu and disable "Connect automatically..." from the General tab.
The interface wasn't operating as intended. We'll implement [improvements](https://github.com/pop-os/cosmic-settings/issues/1033) that should negate the need for a Save button.
Let's hold on this design a bit. There's a perhaps better full-theme angle to consider long-term.

I'm unable to reproduce this with a bluetooth headset. It may be resolved when we tag the next release.
