Try enabling different text frameworks in config. Check if the text isn't baked into textures.

Maybe it's an image not text? Try enabling texture dumping.

Check if dialog isn't using a different text framework, try setting a different text to it with runtime unity editor.

Not much you can do in that case. You can try tweaking the settings but the mod you mentioned would probably need to be modified if it's doing something unusual.
