I can confirm that this actually happens on 4.2.2 and 4.3 beta1. In all rendering modes
I tested this on 4.4 dev3 and it does happen

@TokisanGames Selecting the "Spray Overlay Texture" tool also shifts the Inspector to the right a lot. Here's a full screenshot: 
Perhaps this behavior should be described in the documentation
