I'll keep my eyes open. There might be more preconditions (note opened in foreground / background / whatnot) so might take some days to be sure.

Ah, didn't encounter flickering any longer. Can be closed, but I can't do it, I'm logged in with Octodroid, which has no such option yet.

Can fonts remain on a server (Google fonts?) leaving the .apk as small as it is, until they need to be installed, all that handled by Noto, i.e. no faulty...

That's great and on my wishlist, too. Do you think it's possible to search through a folder and open single findings and then have the search term still marked, without...
