The reason why #3998 got stuck on my side was a very valid concern from @johnynek on whether we should keep stuffing collection wrappers with ad-hoc methods or try to...
I guess there's a typo in the description: `ValidatedNel` is enlisted as "missing", but in fact it is not: https://github.com/typelevel/cats/blob/main/core/src/main/scala/cats/data/package.scala#L5
Hi @armanbilge , just to confirm with you: is this PR still blocked by #4063 ?
Yeah, I'm keeping eye on it.. I will be happy to resume working on this.. Just a lil'bit busy on my work project now – it is approaching a deadline...
@armanbilge here it is, finally :)
Bumped up deprecation versions to "2.9.0".
Seems this PR was left unnoticed somehow 😕 and as for now it was partially superseded by #3797. But this one still have a new method `mapAccumM` to be considered....
To me it seems that the name should be `parFlatMapX` rather than `flatParMapX`...
On the second thought... If `flatParMapN` is just `parMapN` followed by `flatten`, what is the advantage we can get by adding it? I mean if we could optimize it somehow...
The difference is not that huge though, but: - #4009 introduces `FlatMapArityFunctions` which is mixed into `FlatMap` which is a typeclass and thus can be _potentially_ optimized for some implementations....
