It's aligned such that the chips fit inside the box by default without making the chips smaller. I didn't really check if it matches the size of other input fields.

I agree. 👍 You're not supposed to switch between controlled/uncontrolled. Material-UI also shows a warning if you try to do that.
@nib9888 the old controls should work as before, you just can't select layered fog with them
I agree. We could do it like IntelliJ does, ie. having a checkbox in the first time setup and a button in the menu bar.
