@firasm you might also be a good candidate for a [publisher group](https://web.hypothes.is/help/publisher-groups/). This would give you moderation privileges over your content so you could hide outdated annotations.

I don't have a technical solution to offer, but I can offer a "cultural" one: you could consider coming up with a tag & encouraging anyone who annotates your manuscript...
