This is an issue with the version of Electron that the manager is using. Reportedly you can append a `--gtk-version=3` launch argument to get it working.

I've just released 3.2.6 which should fix this. Make sure you're on that version.

Unofrtunately Heroic isn't currently supported. We support Epic Games Store, but that client is only for Windows.
