Confirming: this is an SDK-only feature, correct? That is, the behavior of the app host or of `dotnet blah.dll` would not be affected? That appears to be true, as written....
FYI this is not a fix. This would be a new feature. No matter what we implement, it will not be backported to .NET 8.
