Corpses shrinking would look weird IMO.
A big part of the slowdown was attributed to https://github.com/DaemonEngine/Daemon/blob/67db82e9f23828301be20c0eb7be958c806921bf/src/common/cm/cm_trace.cpp#L1162 so it might have something to do with cache thrashing.
I think we should just ditch the tab concept for this. This, of course, also means removing the circle-ness of the menu. Being able to set a number of loadouts...
Can we just use the 0.54.1 version of the map? There weren't any changes to the map itself, were there?
Is this issue considered solved given that assets were rebuilt for 0.55?
