You should probably look into [`QMdiArea::subWindowList`](https://doc.qt.io/qt-5/qmdiarea.html#subWindowList) for manipulating MDI subwindows.
I think this might not be a proper way to fix the issue which you want to fix. Can you provide an example case where this pull request helps?
1. Add DSK Virtuoso and choose some sound for each layer 2. I can hear some sound 3. Save and reload 4. No sound output until re-selecting sound sources Loading/saving...
I can't reproduce the UI issue either.
I wonder if #3929 has fixed this issue. Can anyone re-test this?
