Yeah a hidden mininuke (or several) sounds like a solid idea. I think you might be able to hide it inside sealed furniture to ensure players don do funny stuff.
You can consider moving it to aftershock with a little buff so it has a place in melee strength "builds"

I kinda feel like we might not need to actually overwrite these traits over just making new ones. Most of their hardcoded effects are partially obsolete now.
Yeah I think it might make maintenance easier in the long run.

If I understand your intentions here, I think you just want a simple connection type for both the 0 to +1 gap and another one for the 0 to -1...
