I think we would call these `toDp` as conversion factory extensions are prefixed with "to".

Actually I'm going to dupe that one onto this as this proposal is a lot closer to the prototype I have.
Why do you need this? Accessing the activity from a view is a generally discouraged pattern as it creates a bad coupling that prevents reuse.
