Hmm, it is strange that [ps2rd hook code detection](https://github.com/ps2homebrew/Open-PS2-Loader/commit/2d106e4b5120035f42cfe9461af526715ed3be72) fixed this issue in some way... Although I have the same results as GDX-X in 1910.
Another game that seems to have the same problem is Splinter Cell: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/open-ps2-loader-game-bug-reports.19401/page-50#post-254366.
I do not have this problem with OPL 1897 or with [1901](https://github.com/ps2homebrew/Open-PS2-Loader/releases/download/latest/OPNPS2LD-v1.2.0-Beta-1901-77e766b.7z) through SMB on SCPH-50004:      I tested a PAL (SLES_502.25) version.
What do you mean by converting? I only used ISO. Its md5 checksum is: `826405257524b9a9f7c363892d41aeb7`. http://redump.org/disc/4250/.
I have also noticed that IGR and power off combination freeze this game. So probably enabling mode 6 might be a good idea.
From I remember there was no specific patch for this game like with Shadow Man: 2econd Coming, so currently only lowering transfer should help.
