Try this game with OPL 1901: https://github.com/ps2homebrew/Open-PS2-Loader/releases/download/latest/OPNPS2LD-v1.2.0-Beta-1901-77e766b.7z. At least through SMB it should work:  EDIT: It also works with OPL v1.0.0 & v1.1.0 through SMB.

No. I did not need any compatibility modes to enter main menu.

I rechecked this game on 3 different consoles. The game boots normally on SCPH-50004, 70004. The game does NOT boot on SCPH-77004.

ESR has plenty of versions and at least 3 variants...

Unfortunately I have the same issue through SMB with OPL v.1.1.0 with [SLES_538.30](http://redump.org/disc/4323/).  None of the compatibility modes seems to help. So currently the only alternative that you have...

@ Haker120 I am not sure if I understand you... OP has given his report about PAL version. In your every reply you wrote that this game works. Through SMB...

I menage to get this game (SLES_538.30) working with [OPL 1875](https://github.com/ps2homebrew/Open-PS2-Loader/releases/tag/latest) through SMB after that loading screen: 

If you are referring to a NTSC version (SLUS_202.24)... Greatest Hits has version 2.00: http://redump.org/disc/21659/ While original has v1.00: http://redump.org/disc/34216/ Also both have different [md5 checksum](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Md5sum).

I only tested this game through SMB with [OPL 1875](https://github.com/ps2homebrew/Open-PS2-Loader/releases/tag/latest). Everything seems to be fine. I do not need any additional mode(s) to pass the first cinematic after staring new...

As an alternative (workaround) can you try this game with OPL 1442: https://www.psx-place.com/threads/open-ps2-loader.13415/page-48#post-239678.
