I find it strange that after 3 days it declares an instance dead and never checks again. Is it supposed to auto recover from this issue?
Either way this kind of issue needs to ring some serious alarms and have an obvious solution and be easier to troubleshoot. Just some ideas: I think an API call...
So it sounds like the scheduled tasks aren't running? Is there an easy way to check for that? Like a `ps aux | grep` for some process name?
