Aspect Correction is indeed a name that has gotten confusing. I'll change it. The rest I'll have to delay for now, so I can get the next bugfix release done.
A finding worth archiving here: It seems that game specific issues caused by forcing the overscan bit can be mitigated by also setting some overclocking. This should be analyzed when...
This may take some time. But it's good to have some more complex cases to further develop HD windowing (it's still experimental, but it will get there).
Windowing is used per layer and in the final compositing. Currently only the latter is HD. This discrepancy is the most likely source of the artifacts. I'll look into this...
Note to self: When looking into fix also keep an eye on #20
If it is not some bitmap/texture related technique it may be layer windowing (see #18). If it does not change along with that issue some deeper analysis will be required....
I can only help on the video output side. Such changes to the emulation itself will have to be handled by @byuu, who will look into it, if it helps...
The first version is intended for 16:9, with corrected pixel AR , i.e. stretched by 8:7. However the width can only be increased in specific increments, so 16:9 cannot be...
BLur emulation and shaders can't handle the scaling (which is pretty much integer nearest neighbor for non-mode7 elements) in most cases. I have ideas to help with that, but those...
Thanks. It may take a bit until I get to it. Does this enable certain specific devices? I'm always glad when more platforms can be built for. And I'm curious...
