Casting from a phone is already supported as can be seen in the [REAMDE](https://github.com/yuliskov/SmartTube?tab=readme-ov-file#casting). With the limitations that you can only do it from the YouTube app.

Had the same problem, and found that the solution was setting `Tools → Select the execution mode` to GUI. Otherwise no .vcd file is created. I have successfully gotten wavevorms...
