This happens randomly, but probably more on maps where you make your own armor and put it on manually. I've experianced the "no armor point bar" on another server aswell,...
@nigges60 that's because the nicked player was red, then switched team, then unnicked. It's the same situation as observer, the color don't matter.
He's in lobby though, I don't think play page shows people in the lobby?
Apparently friends in lobby are supposed to show in oc.tc/play
