Can you tell us what the exact last version was that still worked? The last version of 1.9.x was 1.9.14. So I'd like to narrow this down further.

Can confirm this happens on Windows 11 Pro (21H2). Windows 11 Home (21H2) is fine tho.

Similarly on this topic, ARM and SSE 4.x should have hardware implementations of SHA1 and CRC32 too (although not CRC32-C).
