@cwsmith TBF your idea is better if that was a policy issue. I am testing this in #3310.

@RemiLacroix-IDRIS I can see that this is intended, at list for libadios2. In CMAKE, an _INTERFACE_ library is a sort of a way to to group together libraries __within__ CMake....

@RemiLacroix-IDRIS if this resolves this please close this issue.

@eisenhauer I am happy to take this challenge. - As per testing if `ADIOS2_HAVE_SST` in CMAKE, ADIOS2 sets the value of `ADIOS_HAVE_SST` in the `adios-config.cmake` which is read by `find_package(ADIOS2)`....
