Is the camera name correct? It will look like this `camera.aarlo_back_camera`, you can find a list of them in `Developer Tools --> STATES`. Do you have a `camera:` section configured?

@Deltus7529 Firstly, thank you for posting a decent bug report, most of the ones I get are "it doesn't work" with no other information, so that makes a nice change....

How are you running HA? What version of aarlo are you using?

Can you turn on some debug and capture what happens when you turn on recording? I don't have CVR so can't test here.
