it was already reported somewhere, not sure where now, maybe gallery. Im aware of it, it happens in most apps though.

Hello. Ye, I plan adding caldav and google sync, such file-based isnt on the roadmap. Ill leave it here as a future feature request, but dont really expect it anytime...
not really, CalDAV does not support types. You have to pick some other calendar. That is basically a type.

you already have them, it is just called Event Type. You can set it only at locally stored events, not caldav ones
it doesnt matter what the title is, everyone knows what is it about. It is explained in the reporters post already
