it is only about the recents tab? Opening the file from the normal place works well?
are you using Simple Gallery or some other one?
so to confirm, the proper image isnt open even from casually navigating to some folder at the first tab? Does any other file manager + gallery work well?

works just fine to me, I dont see how would it break. How are you opening the file, through our File Manager or some other intents from other apps?
to what folder are you copying? Try copying from a different source to a different destination folder, just to see if it behaves the same
not sure, try reinstalling the app just to reset everything
Ok, some USB related improvements are on the roadmap, sadly it is really difficult to work with.
