Working for me my server issue was due to IL not taking the portal for some reason when acting as server on my other machine.
Unusual, I have flatpak client that is ubuntu 24.04 and its been fine. Wonder if its a server only issue
Is your connection via wifi ? could it be some lag in your network ?
Try the continuous flatpak from the releases and let us know if its any better.
Sounds like a duplicate of an issue, where the modifiers are not synced..

The address im using is also not an ip but a hostname.
