I am able to reproduce this in a Preact/Vite project, but not in other renderers. @KrofDrakula is HMR broken in the Preact renderer?

@brendo FYI, we're seeing a perf issue on our unit tests and also a dramatically increased install size. We'll need to resolve those before we can merge.

@VanishMax AFAIK Turbopack is not yet usable outside of Next.js yet. We've created `@storybook/nextjs-vite` to provide a modern bundling experience for isolated development, and it supports most common Next.js features....
