I don't think that this is a deprecation of a feature *in this repo* as implied by the kind/deprecation label. As far as I can tell, upstream Kubernetes doesn't have...
That sounds like you are using csi-host-path-driver for some real production workloads. Please don't do that, it is strictly for testing and demo purposes.
You can always mangle the default deployment files to select a specific node.
