Is there a better way of checking the browser besides detecting `chrome.app`?
Where's the background script? I only see the content script, it also needs to modify the request headers. Have you tested if this even works?

Sorry your question isn't too clear to me... You should just be able to pass your user's image as a Buffer via `data`? What part isn't working?
The latter is fine.
Sounds fine if it's something that would be useful on it's own as a module or is large enough to warrant being separate. But if it's just a small helper...
