Is there any movement on this? It would be really handy to be able to use desktop theatre mode or even the media player.

I looked further into this, from what I can tell the desktop theatre was slapped together in Unity engine, which is now a dated version that doesn't support Linux fully...

I also have this issue on Fedora 34 with a 5700XT latest mesa-git admittedly I think it looks kind of cool
