Fingerprint Enrollment missing in 5.24.1

Open mmcnutt opened this issue 3 years ago • 2 comments

I've noticed since updating to the 5.24.1 build yesterday that the fingerprint unlock I had enrolled was no longer being prompted on kscreenlocker, also the option to enroll fingerprints is missing from users systemsettings. My hardware is definitely supported by fprintd, and it worked previously. I also noticed that fprintd and libfprintd got updated

I checked for an upstream bug and couldn't find one

Further info to this - I had used marcdeop's plasma copr to run the beta previously, so I must have had a mix of packages until I updated to 5.24.1 - switching to marc's stable compile has the needed parts for fprint integration. So there is something that isn't being linked correctly during build

There is no link time dependency on fprintd, it's called via DBus. Even there is no switch to disable building fprintd part in the plasma-workspace.
