Yes, Qt6 should check if xdg-shell is supported before trying to use it, and fallback to X if not.
We don't have this problem with other Qt apps though, so, strange... maybe its something OBS is doing instead? Have we determined its Qt and not say, wayland video capture...

Playing with -vulkan should fix the flickering.
Given that it's an NVIDIA driver bug that has existed for over 7 years now, I am doubtful. The proper solution would be for us to just default to Vulkan...
