At the top level, we make large pins so that they will fall on the routing grid. It is likely that the grid size changed (or something else), so we...
Your image suggests the LEF and connections are fine. I'm not sure what the issue is in the router.
Yes, making the pins a bit bigger might ensure that all pins align in the center and the router doesn't give this error. Though, it seems like it should be...
I would also confirm with the router people why the error is there. These seem like perfectly good connections.
A 1-bit ROM seems very odd and I'm not surprised that doesn't work. Why would you only need 1-bit output? It would probably be better to have a 8 or...
I'll keep this around as it's a good idea. However, adding a new technology is a lot of work, so we would need to identify someone to do it.
I see. This is actually a mistake as it should be in bits, not bytes like the SRAMs: https://github.com/VLSIDA/OpenRAM/blob/b6a6f12642df6b84facc24a77f9a6f67a0d62dab/compiler/rom_config.py#L21
I would estimate it as a large MS project.
Thanks for the suggested improvements. We likely won't get to improving the supply router for a while. We are constrained by resources right now.
There aren't "rules" per se, but "approved cells".
