Would be good to design this and decide on what we're going to do, even if we don't actually do it for beta0

I just had another user ask about this as well.

We should push this back up to the Swagger repo at least (JSON schema ones we already have, for the most part)

We're still interested in this information, and are also actively learning based on usage of the alphas and betas.

This is fixed by #2084, probably we can close this

The adoption design mentioned above still covers this, although technically it's doable today with `reconcile-policy: skip` already.

This is somewhat related to #2067 as well

We will need to document that we plan to use this for v1 to v2 migration too.
