We were actually looking for a similar feature for a work project. We found out this might be little bit of a problem because multiview isn't technically an OBS "output"...
We settled with a similar approach back then actually - a custom written video filter and utility scene for multiviewer compositing.
The right way to do it would be for OBS to rewrite the multiviewer code to use scenes and scene projectors rather than hacking it up in opengl.
Does this happen for you on all outputs or e.g. just for the dedicated output off an NDI filters?
I think PiKVM uses the composite mode (mass storage along with HID in particular). Maybe there's some worthy knowledge there? I even think there might be mutual profit if PiKVM...
