Thanks for this issue. Good to know and I'm guessing we'll have to update the AST code. @lea-hagen or @galaxyumi - is this something one of you would be interested...

That would be great @meredith-durbin. Should only be needed in the AST input setup code.

I am working on `read_beast_data.py`

Humm....we won't want to randomly select fully for trunchen, but one idea does start include some random selection followed by the possibility of rejection.

- spatial distributions of different types of stars - candidate dusty AGB stars (via "bug")

- basic details of the fits, accuracy - HR diagram - correlation plots between parameters

Not at all. These are all smaller than files we use for the current BEAST regression tests.

- sensitivity tests using simulations with the AST derived noise model to say how accurate the measurement of the star/dust parameters

- listing of "bad" fits (via chisqr cut?) as candidate non-single stars in the galaxy (foreground, background AGN, binaries in the galaxy, etc.)

I agree that a catalog paper should focus on the catalog and validating it. But some science is good to motivate the use of the catalog. Of course at this...
