The FM engine can output dfs2 in a gridded overlay. That is not a legacy output. I don't know, however, whether it contains any static bathymetry 🤔

Note this is only a problem for point-to-point comparisons, if you're extracting your point from a nc/dfsu ModelResult the xyz coordinate is kept.
It's nice except those symbolic links are not working on windows which means that the documentation can no longer be build on windows🤔
