You might revisit this with WowUp 2.5, lots of changes were made to how some providers can find the right addon file.
Forcing the user to update is basically a requirement at this point due to small team size for support, however, i am not opposed to some kind of snooze button...

Ah this is not feasible as most providers do not send the game version from their API. and Curse only sends it some of the time.
The website and the API often have mismatches. And often times when they send the game version its empty. We could probably make this a feature request and just show...

This is out of scope for the client app. The new provider can handle this feature already as its a more robust version of github installation. However, it does not...
