Do you have any other pixel launcher variant installed? If yes, unfortunately, you will have to uninstall those first, as they are conflicting with the companion app.

Generally, I'm against this, however this is coming up again and again and again... you get the idea. I'm not promising anything, but I may look into how feasible it...

Sorry for the late answer. I don't think the launcher does anything that would make your screen grey. Maybe samsung has a setting for that? Since the issue was opened...

I'm not committing to anything just yet, but I might rework themes a bit, which would probably include something like this. No promises or ETA though.

Can you give a little more details? What device do you have, what android version, what do you search for, which app should appear but doesn't, etc.
