The soldier stats are a bit opaque. Maybe we can show the same soldier list that one would have inside the building window? That's probably too much for the statistics...

I think we could solve this by having a platform only at one end of the road texture, then make sure it's the one that's blitted on top where roads...
The best thing I can say right now is "with lots of digging though the control flow in the code". The focus issue is non-trivial.
For zooming in, we could repeat the textures, because they will tile.
I agree that having full sentences is better, but that will only be workable if you need only a few of the rules - it's a lot of typing otherwise....
