It is my opinion that were this to be added, it should be hidden behind config flag and / or an optional attribute. I certainly won't be modifying my Lambda...
Integrating @harrylove's pull request fixes it for me too.
I've cobbled together a working version from issue comments & a fork: https://github.com/faceleg/doctorjs. This version works with node 0.10.x.

We don't use streaming audio so I won't be making this change. We are open to pull requests!
Also the app doesn't seem to remember the custom cache location when it is restarted
I've encountered this issue on two projects (one new, one > 1 year old), confirming that @kaminskypavel's solution has resolved the issue for me.
I've forked this to https://github.com/faceleg/angular-busy-plus. Recommend using that as the development focus until / unless the owner becomes active or brings help on board.
