We recommend using the rosbridge connection if you need publish support in ROS2. We do not currently have plans to add publishing support to the native ROS2 connection.

Whats the benefit of this over the existing file? Will this break compatibility with clients that don't yet support this new PEP?

@2metres Is this done? What I've understood from discussion is that we've only partially ported panels/log to MUI. Is there another ticket tracking the remaining work?

Marking as a _bug_ since it is a regression - we can separately determine whether we want this behavior.

@amacneil do you still want this? I see it's gone through some assignment changes but we've never actually thrown it into a project or planning session.

Sounds good. I've thrown it on the Q2+ project board so we make some time to push this over the finish line within the quarter.

What's the status of this? Its been assigned for a while with no activity.

@james-rms has taken over nuscenes2mcap and is making some sample data with that. I am renaming this ticket to "update sample data to use mcap" and we should switch over...
