Semi-serious remark: We don't want people to join projects from the peak of [Dunning-Kruger's "Mount Stupid"](https://ardalis.com/the-more-you-know-the-more-you-realize-you-dont-know/).

I think this can be done with creating branches for the different versions. So with each release we would create a corresponding branch in the documentation repo. For example readthedocs...

The documentation is taken from the command line help which is defined in the sources of Bitcoin Core. Best would be to fix it there: https://github.com/bitcoin/bitcoin/blob/4db44acf2d5d3b40943c94b3960f42838255b7ad/src/wallet/rpcwallet.cpp#L2592

@ratijas Feel free to transfer the issue. I don't think the Bitcoin Core developers will see it here.

I don't think it has an effect on the generated HTML. It does make it easier to change links in the sources and it makes the sources more readable, though....

I'm removing the milestone. I don't want to slow down development of other parts of the documentation and will figure out a way how to do it after detaching from...
